This month we focus on the web site for Walker & Gunn, based in Northampton, Northamptonshire

Client's brief to the web site designer:

To allow the client to showcase and sell online a range of high-quality menswear including shirts, shoes, ties and cufflinks.

Project approach

Meetings were held to look at how the new web site would look, how to make its design easy for visitors to use, and how best to market it. An e-commerce package developed by web designer Abbey Park was used as the basis for the project, allowing a rapid implementation of proven features, while enabling customisation to Walker & Gunns specific requirements. After initial training by Abbey Park, the client was able to add product information and photos into the database. Abbey Park configured the web site to accept credit card payments via Barclaycard.

Outcome

The client has taken a hands on approach to running and improving the web site, and has seen the direct benefit as sales enquiries to the web site and orders continue to rise.
