Web designer Wellingborough - improving an existing site with Flash Animation

This month we look at an updated and much improved web site for Foam Techniques, based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

Client's brief to the web site designer:

To make substantial changes to an existing web site (not developed by Abbey Park) and to improve the number of sales enquiries generated via the web site.

Project approach

The existing web site was examined to see which elements should and could be retained. The way it had been developed made maintenance difficult and costly. Some re-engineering took place to fix this, before the client's specific changes were implemented. Key words were analysed to improve the web sites ranking with seach engines such as Google and Yahoo. An animated Flash movie was developed to present the values of the business to prospective clients without them having to visit in person.

Outcome

The client and its customers like the new site. Further changes have been easy to make so the web site can be kept more fresh and up to date. The web site's ranking has improved along with the number of sales enquiries.
